Shuttle Basics

Pick-ups will be from a general public area that is accessible to passengers. On a case-by-case basis we will offer home pick-ups for those who cannot access the general pick up location. For safety purposes, drop offs will mostly be directly to passenger’s homes unless otherwise specified. Preferred pick-up and drop-off locations will be asked for as part of online registration. Specific times and details will be sent out after you submit your registration and one of our Po’ohala staff contacts you confirming your seat based on our seat openings and route scheduling. We do the best we can to serve the po’ohala community.

Shuttle services are on an open “on-going” enrollment basis.

Online Registration Process

First step is to fill out the online registration form to be put on the sign-up list. Once registered, one of our volunteer staff will contact you to confirm your spot on our program. You may also use the button at the bottom of the page to register.

All of Po’ohala Staff are volunteers, so please allow us some time to reach out to you. If you do not hear from us, feel free to email us at shuttle@poohala.org anytime!

COVID-19 Information

For the safety of all passengers and staff, Po'ohala shuttle will be following the standards set by the Kauai Bus system and more.

Here are the specific COVID-19 Rules & Regulations that will be implemented:

  • A Po'ohala staff member will properly sanitize the shuttle before and after each ride.

  • Shuttle will be operating at a reduced capacity to allow for proper spacing between riders.

  • Maximum of 9 riders inside the shuttle at one time.

  • Maximum of two passengers per row to allow for ample space between riders. The only exception to this rule will be for riders who reside in the same household.

  • Masks are not required, but are recommended to worn before entering the shuttle and throughout the ride.

  • Sanitize Hands before entering the shuttle (hand sanitizer will be provided).
